cool blazer at local car show

I went to back to the 50's this weekend and one of the vendors had this blazer on display. Very nice and expensive.

The Fesler Blazer. There were photos of that one during the build on the board. Here's more on it -

It would be very cool to see in person.

Ahh..the Fesler blazer...it's been my desktop wallpaper for almost a year now...Definitly one I'd love to seen in person. Not saying it's not worth the $150K, but for that much, I'd like some wheel wells in the front...I'd hate to scratch up that pretty engine bay.

Re: cool blazer at local car show

Hmm...nice blazer, but I prefer a stock hood especially since they don't seem to have clearance issues.

As far as cost...damn expensive. I could see about $20-30gs worth of products in that build and 2000hrs would make it a 50-75hrs shop rate, which is a little less than some highend custom shops but looks like they are trying to get the full money back on it, which never happens. That blazer would sell for more like $60gs I think. The show vehicle market isn't that big at that price range, but there are some rich people out there who can't build vehicles themselves and may pay $150gs.

Either way, nice build.

Re: cool blazer at local car show

I believe they started attempting to sell it at $225K. The only thing blazer about it is the body skin. Basically everything else was created from scratch.

I have not read any articles, but a '69 4X4 turned '71 2WD? Tough to pin-point a year on it.

Re: cool blazer at local car show

Yeah it started at $200g's + then went down accordingly, over and over again. It'll go down a lot more before it sells I think. Not to take away from the work done, but it just wont get top dollar. Custom frame, so no point in really saying '4x4 to 2wd' lol Wouldn't make a difference with a new frame and new body mounts. Just a body style in the end. Could be a 67 or 68 based on the frontend..pick a year They picked 67 and 71 I guess.

With the exception of no back seat (major stereos don't work ell
in open air vehicles anyways) and no fenderwells. I love it. However for $150,00 you should probably love everything about it.
