Re: Brake switch retainer clip -95 K1500 Burb

Well, I know I am posting in a nearly 3 year old thread, but as the years go by, the probability that more people will need this.

I had to change out my brake booster. The clip is difficult to remove as stated above. One thing I did was remove the little coupling yoke deal that attaches the steering column to the steering rod.

This allows you to be able to get your hand up in there a little better with either a screwdriver or what I ended up using was a short prybar once the clip was bent a little.

I am probably lucky that I didn't bust the switch because I was pressing against it a decent amount.

The only other advice I can give is to try an salvage the clip. The national chain store I went to didn't have the clip so I am having to use this one unless I want to spend 3 hours and 10 gallons of gas driving around.

I am putting it back together this morning..... If I figure out anymore tips/tricks then I will post again.....
