2 ?'s

if my cowl has a bunch of debri in it will it cause my defroster not to blow very well? because it doesnt blow out much air in the new blazer, but the motor sounds like it runs like a s.o.b. the other question is are the pitman arms on power and manual steering boxes the same? or will they bolt in place of one another without having to change the tie rod end that goes into it?
Thanks,
Keith

Have you checked to see if your hoses are off? Does one side blow more then the other? Does AC vents blow air ok-heater vent? Check to see if defrost cable is working--if not flapper door will not close for it to send air to defrost vents.

I would say your AC core & heater core are stopped up in the boxes. My truck came out of S.C. and was full of pine needles. Can't remeber how I got them out (1991) but must have taken AC box apart under hood (not hard to do). Does the cold-hot lever work--it should move the lever on top of the AC box under hood. This lever moves the flapper that covers heater core when AC is in use and vice versa for heater. this will be where all the trash is--was in mine --works fine now. Hope this helps. P.S. sharp truck in your avatar.

two common problems:
#1 the flapper(diverter) box isn't working that's inside the cab at the floorboard just a few screws holding on plus the control cables LMC and other vendors have replacements
#2 requires taking off the box under the hood where the fan is cause they're sometimes filled with crap and dead mice not allowing any air to circulate
HOPE IT'S #1

the saels could be gone too not allowwing the air to blow thru the vents. mostof the air would be blown thru the seams
