Gauge pod installation

I'm installing a triple gauge pod in my 94 dually. I'm gonna do

Senders thanks.

Themp will hook up on the driver side head on the side. There will be a dark green wire to tap.

Mech oil pressure will hook up by the dist.

I will add pic in a min.

Re: Gauge pod installation

I swapped out the mechanical oil guage for a electric one. I tried to tap off that green wire to run both the factory guage and the pod guage. When I do this both will not operate..

Re: Gauge pod installation

They both work on two deferent ohms. You would have to add a other sending unit somewhere . The elec oil perssure is a tan wire by the dist. It will be the same one or the other

Re: Gauge pod installation

I have a '93 4.3l and the oil pressure wire runs down to sensor on the passengers side. I have wanted to run a mechanical gauge but the sensor wire runs between the block and oil filter. Really tight spot.

Re: Gauge pod installation

Ok I got the oil gauge done. I put a T and added the sending unit. I am stumped with the Temp. Can I put a T for that as well or will it effect how the gauge operates.. There is no where to Tap into. There is a water sending unit on each side of the motor and one in the front by the thermostat. Any suggestions thanks.,..

No, cause it would change the ohms reading if you ran two gauges off one sending unit.. You have to pick one or the other or add another sending unit.
