Got some work done...
Worked on my frame over that last couple of days. Removed the suspension, center cross-member and the rear shock mounts to prepare for the new ECE pieces and 73-87 front end. Then I scrubbed and pressure washed it for the better part of a day to get about 20 pounds of Alabama/Georgia clay off of it. Found a couple of spots that need attention from the welder, I'll church them up tomorrow. After that it will be ready to be blasted. Not sure if I will have it painted or powder coated, any suggestions?

Pics of the cross-member... it's just sitting in place for a trial fit. I had to see what it will look like. It was a job getting the old one out, I can't imagine what it would be like to pull one from a complete truck!

Re: Got some work done...
after having a few powder coated ones, I think I would POR 15 it. Why? Well after final assembly I promise you will have areas that need touched up and POR 15 would make it easy...

Re: Got some work done...
This truck is going to be a driver. My '54 Chevy 2dr Sedan frame was coated with POR15 and then their chassis coat black and it looked great. That may be the way to go...

Re: Got some work done...
Got the 73-87 cross-member fit and removed some unneeded brackets. Been a pretty productive weekend. Next week I am going to contact someone about blasting the frame, cross-member and rear-end housing. Here are a couple of pics with the cross-member in the frame.
