help with the brakes on my 70
hey there guys just got my 70 cst all redone (painted) but i cant seem to get the brakes on it to stop grabing so hard they are powerbrakes and they are drum all the way around all u have to do is touch them and they will but u throw the window lol i have ajusted them 3 times but they seem like there ok for a bit but then come back again any ideas????
should i get disc for the front |

I'd start with pulling the drums and looking for moisture

Like Andy said, if they get any moisture or condensation on the inside of the drum they will grab like crazy until you drive it a ways and get them dried out and the flash rust off of the drums.... My White '67 with drums all around does the same thing. If it is mainly one wheel then you may have a problem with a leaking wheel cylinder or rear axle seal. LockDoc

Temp doesn't have as much to do with it as humidity. If it is hot during the day and cools off at night you will get condensation on the heavy metal parts like the front and rear end components and engine block... LockDoc

I'm thinking the shoes need buffing with Emory cloth and inside of drum then re adjust the drums again ,also lube the backing plate where the shoes make contact ,white lithum grease
