I can't find painted mirror caps!
I've been searching everywhere for painted mirror caps for my '06 to have painted to match my color. I don't care about the color. I've looked for old and new but can't find any! The new ones seem to all be discontinued and our junk yards don't have them without mirrors also. Am I crazy for not finding something that seems so simple?? Any ideas of where to find them?

Re: I can't find painted mirror caps!
can you not remove the caps that are on the mirrors now and paint them? they are held on with clips and double-sided tape.

Re: I can't find painted mirror caps!
Yes. That's probably what's going to happen at this point. I have read though that the black textured caps are made of different material and don't hold paint as well. Plus I figured I would save some labor of having to smooth them.

Re: I can't find painted mirror caps!
go to fullsizechevy.com and do a search on painting plastic trim pieces ... several posts that explain how to do it with really good results.

Re: I can't find painted mirror caps!
I have looked and know how to do it. It's also where I found some posts saying the painted caps are better to use.
I'll do this as a last resort, just asking if someone has a source for the painted ones.

Re: I can't find painted mirror caps!
Order was cancelled because item is no longer in stock.
Guess I'll just work with what I have.
