Help for a disc brake conversion on 8-lug C20

I'm interested in putting disc brakes on my 69 C20 with 8-lug wheels. I have nice 8-lug wheels and would like to keep them. Is there anyway to convert my truck to disc brakes and keep the 8-lug wheels? I've done some reading on the "Drum to Disc Conversion" threads, but didn't see anything unless I'm missing something. I don't want to convert the fronts over to 5-lug wheels and have 8-lug wheels in the rear. What are my options?

Should this be in the suspension section?

Your best bet is to find someone parting a 71 or 72 2wd 3/4 ton with discs and purchase the parts you need. Spindles out and proportioning valve should get the job done.

I read though that working with 71-72 limits my options as far as parts is concerned and parts are more expensive. Would it be best to go with the newer years?

Thanks guys. Lots of reading to do.

Any square body donor truck will work just as well as 71-72 stuff and be much easier to find.

Anything that applies to converting 1/2 ton trucks to discs will apply to a 3/4 ton, as long as you use 3/4 ton parts. The procedure is the same, just different donor trucks.
