That is so awesome you must be psyched. You have a great wife there aren't too many that are so supportive. Now put that lift to good use and share pics with us.

Re: my wife bought me a lift

Sounds like you have a great and supportive wife. That lift should make a lot of things a whole lot easier and maybe quicker. I just wish I had a place to put one.

Re: my wife bought me a lift

Congrats and enjoy! I have put the cash aside like 3 times for a 4 post and it always seems to be "needed" soon after so no lift for me yet. Maybe some day......

Re: my wife bought me a lift

Here is the lift with the two trucks I was talking about in the original post. The lift is really handy for storage and working on the toys! the yellow truck is our 70 stepper six silly three on the tree and we drive it everywhere. the red truck is a 72 3/4 ton that was given to me as is. (blew my mind) by a very good friend of my brothers; thanks Rob, Rob spent a lot of money and time on this truck. he was in the process of moving so he brought it to his business and covered it(in a secure parking area) and the fun began. guys from a near by body shop would (at night) jump the fence pull the cover back pop the hood and take parts off the truck! heads/intake/ carb / dizzy/headers/even the oil pan stripped it down to a short block. Rob was done and the whole event soured him on the truck and the way people can be. He told my brother it was for sale and he knew I had two already so he gave me a call to see if I wanted it . said he would take $3,000.00 for it and I could pay him what I wanted /when I wanted for as long as it took to pay it off! I looked at the truck and told him I would feel comfortable at $4,000.00 (all the parts to complete the restoration were in seven boxes) brand new 700r4 trans as well!! He said $4,000.00 wont cut it! I want you to have it! it needs to go to a good home! Only thing he wants is when I'm done with the restoration is to let him drive the truck for a weekend! Rob is one of those great people you meet in life! and I will finish the truck and deliver on the deal! sorry for the long post I still can't believe this happened to me. cheers, Pat

Re: my wife bought me a lift

I'm thinking you better repay this gesture with something nice for her or take her on a trip.

Wow Pat! That is the coolest and kudos to your wife
for making it happen!!!

Me, I've got a 2-post lift but use it more for "second floor"
storage...upside down truck bed covered with treasures.
Pretty pricy way of getting things "down from the loft" ...

I'm quite impressed with your garage...
Lets see more of your diggs and any future plans!

bighaas, the body man in you is correct! its off a little and I saw it when I picked it up but, didn't feel the need to point it out to the man that gave me the truck. I'm going to re paint the hole thing anywho. I know I'll catch some shmit for this but thinking about painting her sea foam green with a white on the roof of the cab! (Ipainted a guitar I made for my son that color and started thinking that our trucks would look cool with it!) cheers, Pat
