Rear coil spring direction - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Putting new trailing arm bushings and rear springs in my 67 chev short box (stock height) and by the looks of the coil spacing there is a top and the bottom which way is up or does it make a difference?

Tighter windings to the top is what I have always seen...
