more emissions cleanup questions

sorry guys, i know there are several threads on this already but i didnt find the answers to my exact questions. so here goes: what i am trying to do is minimize the clutter just like everyone else. only, i dont want to start smelling gas fumes after i pull everything out! also, i have a/c so i dont want to mess that up either.
i removed the smog pump already. it wasnt connected to anything anyway so i figured why have the belt connected when its not serving a purpose. it was dead weight anyway. take a look a my pics please.

Re: more emissions cleanup questions

You don't need any of that stuff. all you need is the big canister in the middle of the second picture, just keep the lines running to the breathers for the gas tanks. thats going to keep you from having a gas odor.

Re: more emissions cleanup questions

the only vacuum ports im using on my carb are these:

(from looking at front of carb)

far left bottom vacuum line is going to the e.g.r.

top left vacuum is going to the distributor

lowest center (larger) vacuum is going to pcv valve on valve cover

and then the rear of the carb has a hard line going to the brake booster

there is also a hard line breather hose that comes from the transmission and connects to a breather towards the back of intake manifold

I personally don't have cruise control so no line going there.

Re: more emissions cleanup questions

all the other ports are capped off, I bought an assorted pack of vacuum caps from auto zone and thats all it took. I disconnected all the wires and crap that had to do with the vacuum and it didn't cause and problems at all for me. mine is an 84 though.
