Vermilion Poly ?

Anyone have a picture of what a 67 in Vermilion Poly looks like when it is fresh. Just curious to see what my 67 "should" look like I tried to do a search but came up with nothing. Thanks...Mods if this should be in the Paint and Body section please move and my apologies in advance

Re: Vermilion Poly ?

This is not a great pic.....but in the stack of fenders to the left is a 67 or 68 fender in vermillon poly. It's the 4th one in or last one in the stack that you can see. GM used this color maroon in the 60s on trucks, cars and also corvettes.

Re: Vermilion Poly ?

Here's a better pic in this thread post #136 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=301319&page=6 Hope this helps.......

EDIT ONE YEAR LATER: The truck I pointed out in this post is in fact a 69 and in 1969 maroon was a one year only color. 1967 and 1968 chevy trucks had code 515 vermilion poly and the 1969 chevy truck maroon was code 517 maroon. So the fender in post #2 is 67-68 515 vermilion poly, and the truck in this post 3 is not vermilion poly. Sorry my bad.

Re: Vermilion Poly ?

Bruceman, thanks!!! That does not look to bad at all, I actually thought it was going to be a touch redder than that. I like it!

Re: Vermilion Poly ?

My truck was vermillion metallic from the factory. I wish I would have gotten some paint chips off of the floor before I sanded/painted it . It's a sharp color for sure.

Re: Vermilion Poly ?

I think that shade of red is a lighter version of the old Honduras Maroon.
