Re: Anyone have power steering pump pic's

So it's a 283 so no holes in the head then. Here's a bracket on ebay that might work.

Re: Anyone have power steering pump pic's

If your 283 still has the original short water pump, you will need brackets, pump and the pulley from a '68 and older car, or a '72 and older truck. Those parts can usually be found either on ebay or here on the forum in the '67-72 classifieds. The truck parts seem to be easier to find.

Here is one setup minus the pump

And here's a guy with just about every bracket imaginable.....

Re: Anyone have power steering pump pic's

I used my '68 C10 bracket, which stock is a short water pump. In my '65 it was changed over to a long water pump. I was able to add three washers to the main part of the mount (where it attaches to the block) and cut and re-weld the rear bracket (where it mounts to the motor mount).

Not a great pic but you can kind of see what I did. Again, this was a stock '68 C10 bracket and pump.

How about posting a couple pics of what you have. Then we can help you figure out how to use what you have instead of just random pics and suggestions.
