Rear brake help

My rear brakes are Busted... My brake cylinder is leaking in the drum the drums are shot and the pads they don't even exist anymore lol... I'm having trouble getting a good idea on price and everything... Anyone used rockauto? And how does you measure which drum and pads you have?

I have never used rockauto, but I would find your local carquest or auto parts wholesaler. cylinders are prob 15-30 each, shoes prob 20-40 each drums prob 40-60 each. measure the width of the shoe and measure the diameter of the contact surface of the drums. if I had to guess, 2 or 2.5 but 11"??? also get a new hardware kit while you are at it

never used them
soak the fittings and try to remove the old stuff to figure out if your gona need to do the lines....bring any fittings that break off
check the flex hoses

I've used Rockauto once, no complaints. I measure the width of the existing shoes and the diameter of the existing drum. Most of your existing "chain" stores also have websites, so you can "window shop".

If the "chain" has the parts in stock, I still like to take my old ones with me to compare. (you also don't have shipping cost to deal with)

Local autozone shouldhave all you need they are close for me. Advanced has a similarly easy touse web site, too. Get on the net and window shop as suggested. You are working on the brakes so be safe and smart! The parts are cheap enough since the truck is down and needin a fix, do it all and don't worry about additional brake problems later. You will be surprised at how cheap the stuff is.
Rear:
-new rubber hose 13.99
-lines if needed
-both wheel cylinders 9.99 ea
-shoes 19.99 set
-you can buy all the hardware -called the brake drum 'all in one' kit 5.99
-and a new adjuster kit if needed 7.99 each side
-drums - starting at 43.99 each. Can you turn yours?
-now's a good time to replace the axle seals, btw... 3.99 each
don't forget the fluid and some brake cleaner
Less than 200.00 and you are on the road.
Front:
it would be about the same amt to replace the lines, calipers, pads and rotors up front, too.
- new rubber hoses 17.99 each (they tend to collapse as they get old)
- rebuilt calipers 12.99 each after core
- pads 41.99
NOTE: buy the "loaded caliper kit" both calipers, new, with semi metallic pads for a little cheaper 63.99 no core.
- Rotors starting at 34.99 each
- pack the bearings and get new wheel seals for 2.99 each

sounds good i got the hardware for 3$ rock auto... got the pads with autozone since i had 20$ on my autozone rewards card and the drums im ordering from rock auto for 28$ a piece.. got wheel cylinders for 9$ a piece and im gonna get new lines next week... will i need the lines to start this process?

While you're doing this, don't forget to replace the rubber hose that goes from the frame to the rear axle. Since you're bleeding the wheel cylinders anyway, it's no big deal to replace that hose.

I've used Rockauto a bunch with no problems. You can get name-brand and craptastic parts from them priced accordingly.
They are an online catalog vendor so you are working with a very literal machine not a hooman. You'll need to do your homework... Ask yourself the same endless questions that Dexter the NAPA guy would. How wide are the shoes? What's the drum diameter? What's the wheel cylinder piston diameter? No room for guesses cause a mistake will cost both $hipping and time.

I've been careful and lucky. I've never had to return parts. IDK what problems if any there might be on that angle. They do have a good reputation.
