My truck color is actually called Copper or Copper Poly.
(EDIT: see correction below. It's 4522 Bronze)

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

I'm pretty sure you are ahead of me.
You have everything thought out already.
You'll pass me when I'm in the "scratching my head" phase.

Huh, sorry about that. Looking at some previous pictures, yours looks very close to mine.
In some of your fender shots, I can see the copper difference. Must be the camera or lighting, but your cab looks identical in color to mine.
My SPID says Bronze Metallic I believe, def not Copper.

yours

mine

Really liking the engine you put together!

You are correct and I was incorrect.
I just looked at the glovebox door and it says "4522 Bronze".
My buddy had some old 1970 paint books,... and the 522 code said "Copper Poly".
Thanks for the correction.
Is your truck a '70 or '71?

Very cool. Mine is 71'.
Eventually I may need that color code! But wait... Copper Poly and Bronze considered the same? Or are you saying his book was wrong?

I would call it Bronze.
The "Copper Poly" name came from a DuPont color chip page from 1970.
Here's a pic of the same page.
The color is off in this photo,...

color

Strange, I get confused easily.

Look at these pages for 71'. Only "copper poly" shown (and has an * = only 71') - but no bronze, med. bronze or bronze metallic. Why would my SPID say anything bronze? lol
The webpage itself mentions "dark bronze poly" above, but it isn't on the spec sheets.
Maybe it's a "special equipment color"??
