I believe (Its 69 Z-28) Hugger Orange , Kustom shop paint , base/clear. I had a hard time picking out a color, but since it was my first paint job , I was told that orange is fairly forgiving for a novice like myself.Extremely happy how it turned out..

Awesome build. I'm attempting to do my frame-off with no prior experience/knowledge. I'd love to try to paint it myself too but I'm not 100% certain I'm THAT daring...
Your rig looks awesome. Drive it proudly! Last edited by elzombo; 04-08-2011 at 02:20 PM. |

Great build of a beautiful blazer! I would like to see more pictures of your rear panels and get more info on building them. Thats what I'm working on now. Thanks.

How much difference did the fat-mat make? Did you do it for heat or sound or both?
Also, any pictures of your rockers before and after? Last edited by 99-LS1-SS; 04-20-2011 at 08:46 PM. |

Wow, that is a really nice Blazer Big Time! I like the wheels, any chance you might post some pics and comments on their build? Love the orange and interior/top color.

Hey Big Time;
I just noticed you have door edge guards. How hard were they to install without chipping your paint? The thought of it scares me. |

Tom, yeah the door edge guards wasnt as good an idea as I thought ,they did chip the paint. But they are stainless and do look good , I touched up 1 chip area ,not that noticeable. if you do decide I would get someone to help held bottom while working it on from the top, they are stiff and tend to want to scratch the side of door.

99 ls-1 , The fat-mat was well worth the time and effort , I put 2 layers all the way thru out , done it for both heat and sound. works great and alot cheaper than dynamat.
