vortec heads
I am going to the junkyard tomorrow looking for a set of vortec heads and was wondering what year of truck I should be looking for. What casting numbers?

Unless you do your own machine work you might want to consider walking into your local Chevy dealer and walking out $500 lighter with a BRAND NEW set never installed on an engine.
By the time you pay the junk man and the valve job guy you're more than half way to $500.
