87 K5, Budget build
I picked this Blazer up on Craigslist for $600, po said it needed a new head gasket but he transmission was just rebuilt so I bought it. Interior is pretty clean, body has NO rust, decent tires, new exhaust... I'm going to try to get this thing driveable, lifted, tires etc for under $2500
After looking it over and spending some time to get it to start it only needed the TBI cleaned up, new fuel line, and a new water pump but I decided to change the plugs, wires, cap, rotor and now it runs and drives great. So far after the purchase price, parts, plates I'm into this truck for about $800

Re: 87 K5, Budget build
It looks like it was parked for a while and the hood and roof were covered in some sort of black dots? buddy of mine said it was moth poop but I have no idea, kind of hard to see in the picture but it was a pain to get off.
So after a couple hours of cleaning and cleaning and some more cleaning I think it turned out looking pretty good.

Re: 87 K5, Budget build
About a week ago I found some rear 4" lift springs on craigslist list for $20 so I bought them but I'm not sure what brand they are. On a local 4x4 board I picked up another set of front and rear superlift springs for $20 also!! The rear on that set are 56" 3/4 springs so I think I'll try and re-sell those to help pay for some tires or 10" ralleys. I'm going to buy some tires this week and if things work out I'll have the lift on it by the end of next week.
I'm going to hit some junkyards this week to look for some factory buckets and console, I'm not a big fan of the front seat in this thing and the drivers side seat back wont stay up.
