Headliner?
What do you guys have for a not 20+ year old headliner? I want to take mine down and replace it(it will probably crumble) and put in sound deadener while it's out. Thanks, Bradley

Re: Headliner?
I just went and got a new (to me) front headliner, and am going back to get the rear tomorrow. Need to unbolt the seat belts, and didn't bring the sockets with me. The front was toast as far as the fabric and the foam underneath, but the fiberboard is almost perfect. The rear is from a different burb, and is in awesome shape, but I am gonna rip the fabric and foam off of it too. Then I'm gonna get new headliner fabric from the local upholstery place and recover both headliners.
Personally, I'd check the quality of yours. You might be able to just remove the fabric and foam easily without hurting the board. The best thing you could do is get the abs replacement headliners. Only problem is they are far from being cheap. In getting new to me headliners in good shape and recovering, I am probably gonna spend like $60 or $70 vs the several hundred for the abs ones.

Re: Headliner?
I used two cans of this on a headliner that was redone about 7 years ago...
I sprayed it about two days ago. BEFORE AFTER I bet if I hit it one more time with about 1/2 a can, I can get it dark enough |

Re: Headliner?
As long as the cardboard is in good shape you can easily re-do it. I did a headliner in my buddy's blazer by stripping the old fabric off, and using heavy duty spray adhesive to stick some black vinyl on there. Fabric stores usually have "headliner material" in black, grey, and tan.

Re: Headliner?
I took mine down and took a broom to it because the stuff basically falls off then took it to an interior guy who's been doing it forever, he gave me basically a fabric display thing and i picked the closest color to mine and 40$ later both my headliners were done

Re: Headliner?
Hell, I know it'll be cheap now! I was thinking like $400.

Re: Headliner?
Mine was a little cheaper because my dad has known the guy a very long time i think it would have been 60$ but it really shouldn't be that much to begin 400$ would be a whole new abs one but ill settle for what i did instead of my falling down vinyl
