What are these wires for?
This is a V-8 3 speed truck. The engine was replaced with a later model 305.
I know the pic is small but what is the thing on the firwall and what are these wires for. One is a one wire plug and theother is a 2 wire plug. They were not hooked up. The truck runs fine and Im not getting any power through them. I dont remember their colors at the moment.

I don't know what they are, but my '70 CST has them. Most of my other trucks don't.

Looks like the TSS (transmission spark suck-a-nator---an early attempt at emissions improvement ) it works with a vacuum switch below and doesn't allow the vacuum advance to work unless the tranny has shifted into 3rd. The red wire piggy-backs off the radio power.
