Re: Gravity Bleeding Brakes

I got the fluid going. I changed the brake hose and now it flows. That's what ECE told me. Maybe I should call them.

Re: Gravity Bleeding Brakes

Bringing this back up, again.

Question: I can not get any fluid to flow through the rear brakes. I have new rear brakes including the wheel cylinders, MC and PV. I have the button on the PV pressed in and both rear valves are open.
Any suggestions?

Update: Checked the PV and it had the rear brakes blocked (rod inside pushed to the rear) so I reset it.
Also, when the button on the PV is pressed in it will leak break fluid from around the button. Does that button need to be pressed in to gravity feed?

Re: Gravity Bleeding Brakes

How old is the PV? It may be worth replacing. Mine was stuck like yours and i had no luck resetting it.

Try cutting 2x4 long enough to brace between your bench seat and the brake pedal. the idea is to depress the brake pedal about an inch and hold it there. try gravity bleeding again. also make sure your rear rubber line hasnt collapsed. after i replaced my PV, i ran into a collapsed line that looked perfectly fine.

Thanks for the reply...
The PV is new and the rear line "seems" fine but I will pull it out and check it.
I also borrowed a vacuum bleeder and thought I might give that a try too.
