Missed opportunities

Well, Many of you saw the B-E-A-U-T-F-U-L '71 survivor that lynnfield sold over in the Truck for Sale section today. Well, I could not come up with the cash for that one, well not without a divorce! So, I throttled back to a much less expensive truck that I noticed had been for sale for a LONG time. It's a '68 swb stepper, with an asking price of $2400, that I could tool around in on the weekends and slowly build it. I had talked to the guy a few weeks ago but decided to keep looking, until today. So, I called him up to see if I could take a look at it later this week. Initially he says sure, let me check my work schedule and get back to you in an hour. I didn't hear anything for a couple of hours, so I called back and he tells me someone is picking it up tomorrow. I said "No worries, call me if it falls through." The lesson here is that there is always a bigger and better deal out there, but sometimes you have know your limits and jump at the deals that are not exactly perfect. Then again, my buddy Kevin always says, "Things always work out."

No it just means people say things like "well bless your heart" when it seems things aren't going your way. LOL
