Which motor?

This may be a long shot, can anyone tell me a method to determine the type of motor originally installed in my 69 suburban?

I looked at the VIN and it has an "E" for a V8. 1969 had a few V8 options, 350 and 396.

Thanks

Re: Which motor?

If it's not on the SPID it would be the smallest V8 available that year. I am not sure if the 307 was available in 1969, but if it was it was probably a 307.
