Yes, it means it probably had no bed on it originally. It could have also had it put on at the dealer if it didn't sell right away.

As for the Model number, S for the second place means 6 cyl and E means V8

if you look down at the bottom you can see what the body type is. In your case, it's an 03, which is a Cab only. )4 is Step Side, and 34 is Fleet Side.
