Accellerator Pedal Question.

Can people post pictures of the backside of their accellerator pedals?

I've been through LMC and my FSM and can't find any details on how the stock pedal mounts to the accelerator assembly.

I've got a fully functional assembly, but there is no mounting hardware to attach a pedal... just a ~80 degree bend at the end of the lowest arm.

I picked up a stock-like accelerator pedal that has mounting tangs on the back about 1inch apart from each other with a small hole in each for some kind of pin. But obviously I'm missing a piece or two that go from the accelerator arm to the pedal.

Re: Accellerator Pedal Question.

I don't know what that is supposed to be. So I don't see how it helps me figure out how to mount the pedal to the accelerator arm. Or am I seeing a mounting bracket on the floorboard, and that the pedal doesn't attach to the accelerator arm at all?

Re: Accellerator Pedal Question.

I tried to take a pic of mine, but couldnt get a good enough pic...the only things that you need for it, it the pin that hold the pedal on, and the spring that keeps the pedal from being sloppy....well first off what year is your truck?

Re: Accellerator Pedal Question.

What connects to the accelerator arm? Or is the spring designed to fit over the bend?

And thank you mdaven and bosco for your help.

Re: Accellerator Pedal Question.

A 69 should have the setup like mdaven pictured. The pedal mounts on the 2 studs on the floor and just rides on the metal arm. I doesn't actually attach to the arm. If you have a 71-72, that is a different setup.

Re: Accellerator Pedal Question.

Okay so the rounded bend at the end of the accelerator arm is what the pedal floats on without a connection, and it uses a hinged bracket that mounts to the studs on the floor. Is there a spring that helps stabilize it, or does it just float freely on the arm?

I'll check the LMC catalog again armed with this info... but does someone know where I can order the pedal/mounting studs from off the top of their head?
