my dumb mistake-Please help!!!
I had my power steering lines hanging down (zip-ties up out of the way) as I have been waiting for my power steering gear. Once every couple of days I strt the struck to keep its bloof flowing (Pump is empty without a belt on it). On of the ties must have come loose because it wrapped around the fan and bent it into a curl. The metal part. This is a 76 pump with SAE fittings and my PS gear on order is a 76. The one I bent is the one with the smaller end fitting.
Is this the return line? The parts stores sell one the you cut to fit and use hose clamps? Is this ok to do? Last edited by 70cst; 07-27-2011 at 11:54 PM. |

You could try a salvage yard (take your old line) and try to match it up. They usually have a rack with p.s. hoses or old trucks you can take one from. btw: What is "bloof?" |
