Post Any of you guys have a 454 SS?

I just would like to find out how you gys like your SS trucks. Are there any problems that you have had with yours? I plan on buying one in another year or so, so I want to find out what too look out for.

I know some guys that own these trucks and they are pretty reliable. The 91 up ones have the 4L80E and deeper gearing for better off the line acceleration. Problems are they are pretty hard on gas and not exactly that great of a powerhouse. Same 454 as in 3/4 and 1 tons so anything above 3600 rpm they are dead. Slam you back off the line but run out of breath pretty quick. Honestly a vortec 350 short box could probably beat one or come damn close.
