1966 blinker issue

My left side blinker stops and goes solid when I apply my brakes. I thought the problem was in the broken plastic blinker switch in the steering wheel so I replaced it, no fix.

I have checked the bulbs and cleaned up all of the connections on everything I can find.

The wiring seem so simple, is there a ground I'm missing or something?

Re: 1966 blinker issue

the most common ground problem I've run into is the grounding of the front blinker bezels (or actually, the housings I guess I should say). Seems all my blinker problems have ended up being traced there. Good luck - it's a stinky problem - Lord I hate chasing electrical gremlins...
