73 on 16"s What a piece!!

The price was right but,,,,,, I can't believe I towed this piece home. It's going to be tuff but there's gotta be a silver lining here. The first thing I was going to snag was the 73 grill. Some tabs are broken and it's far from pristine. One bezel is bad the other has poor chrome, the upper and lower chrome trim is bent and the center support is bent. This truck is such a piece and rusted throughout. I'm hoping I dont get it down to the frame an find it wasted too. Strange stuff on the truck though, 16" wheels with a 4.75" on 5 bolt pattern. Looks like Metal value so far.

The only thing I can look forward to is a frame and a title.

What did I get myself into? I don't think the wife is going to fall in love soon.

Oh and by the way I'm not selling anything as I'm not a paid member. But it would be fun to watch you grobble. And yes I put you on UTube

That would even more digital waste. there's a hole in the floor big enough for a size 12 boot.

Looks like a DD to me. We used to have a shop truck w/5-lug 16 in wheels, only other one I`ve seen, was an old state truck.

Re: 73 on 16"s What a piece!!

I'm going to be starting with less alright. I think the wife wants in cleaned up and out of here. But for today I think I'll just try and bang out the center support and see if I can salvage that, then let the wife take me to the Sprint car races.

I think the final plan is to have the frame with a 73 title. There are so many people here in Cali that have been bitten by the Smog Monster or the DMV tax monsters and can't seem to fix their trucks. But I can legit put this frame under a truck and make it a 73 legally. Since mine is an 80 it's still under the smog monsters rules. But rules are made to be bent.

Tell me about traction lock rear ends, I think this has one. I spin one wheel forward, driveline turns then after a bit the other wheel turns forward also. Sound like a traction lock rear axle?
