fleetside to step side

]1986 swb scottsdale i was recently in a wreck and crushed the passenger side of the bed , i was woundering if i could put a step side bed on my truck and if so what all would i need or change on my truck , it is a dual tank truck

The bed, fuel filler necks, bumper brackets and bumper. If you find one with good wood your in luck. Cut the bolts off and buy new. Trying to take the bolts off is not worth demolishing the wood like I did.

On second thought you may wanna replace the one side of the bed thats damaged. It's really nearly a bolt on issue.

If you get a stepside bed you need to get all 8 bed bolts, make sure filler necks are on fenders and hoses to tank. thats about it.

Why the big need to get the bed bolts? I know there are some sleeves on the bolts that you will want to keep fo sure.

Step side bed bolts have an ecentric washer that fits in a recess in the wood itself. Plus I think they are longer.
