Rear fender patch panels????
Does anybody sell patch panels for the rear lower section of stepside fenders? Do they even exist? If so I've never seen them.
I would much rather patch my old ones up than pay $400 a piece for new ones. They are in excellent shape except for that area. A good pair of used 67 rear fenders are hard to find and alot of places just carry repro 68-72's with the reflector hole in it which I do not want. I guess I could always weld up the hole but not if I'm paying $400 a piece. If anybody has a pair of used 67 rear stepside fenders for sale at a reasonable price I'm interested. Thanks guys.

Do you have any pics of the areas that need to be patched? I have a pair of fenders that I can cut pieces off, $5-$8 per patch depending on size plus shipping.

Thanks Randy, I'm interested. I need to get my father-in-laws digital camera so that I can take picks. Maybe I'll be able to post tonight.

Cool, I'vebeen cutting pieces off already but most of the fenders are still there. Hopefully I have the pieces that you need. If you can cut and weld, some of the pieces are easy to make (like the front bottom pieces).

I'm am a novice at fabricating body patch panels, so I don't dare. But I can definately weld a pre-fabricated or cut off patch panel no-prob. If it helps you any as to what I am looking for, It's the bottom rear end section of both sides of stepside fenders. Approximately the bottom 6 inches would probably be enough. I'll check again later (I've got my two boys right now so I don't have the time until my wife gets home tonight). If you definately need pictures I should be able to get them tonight. I'll get the camera this afternoon. Thanks again Randy.

No problem Larry, I'll take some pics when I get home today.
Hey Tim, how much are we talking? I would love to have a new pair, it would be a short while before I can get then though. |

Thanks Tim. For now I want to patch my old ones if possible, but I will keep you in mind if I need new ones. How much do you Charge for new stepside fenders anyway, I couldn't find them in your catalogue.

It was dark by the time I got home, but I can tell you that after looking at them, the only usable pieces would be the sheetmetal around the wheels and the patch for filling the spare tire thing. The bottoms are gone.

Never mind guys, I think the fenders are in worse shape than I had originally thought. The edges that are butted up against the bedsides are all bondoed up. I know the bedsides are shot so i'm assuming that the rust worked its way on through to the fenders. I'll know for sure when I take them off. I'm pretty sure that I'll be in the market for new or really good used fenders. Thanks anyway guys.
