whirring noise from under hood

Hey all,
Got a whistling/ whirring noise from the front somewhere. only happens in gear and with the throttle on (under load). It speeds up with rpm.

Can't seem to find it. Have no vaccuum leaks at hoses or brake booster, no belts squealing. disconnected mechanical speedo thinking that was it, it wasn't.
its got a brand new TCI trans and stall.
Could my alternator or power steering be making the noise or do I have a carb/ intake leak that could make that kind of whir/ whistle?
Thanks in advance.

!st place I would look is,
P/S pump
Alternater
A/C compresser
Water pump
T/converter
tranny pump
Anything that rotates same speed as motor.
Take all belts off and start it "breifly" to see if it stops.

Mine seems to do the same thing it sounds like a hum when in gear and you hit a constant throttle.

Re: whirring noise from under hood

Thanks for the suggestions,
after a bit more searching its got to be alt or pwr steering pump as I have an electric fan and a good spray around the carb and intake with carb cleaner did not change the idle.
That said if removing belts doesn't stop noise, I'll check the waterpump. Seems highly unlikely the new TCI trans could be hooped.
