Re: WTB Camper mirrors
If you're there again sometime and they're still there and in good shape, other than the glass, I'd be interested in working out a deal with you to pick them up and send them my way.

Re: WTB Camper mirrors
RenoKeene, I'd be interested in some pictures of those. I'm assuming they're not aftermarket?
Thanks, Ryan |

Re: WTB Camper mirrors
Here you go. These are pretty nice. The elbows have some rust and I would replace the hardware. The SS legs and triangles are perfect, the heads have minor polish scratches but no rust or dents. The glass is almost perfect, some cleaning scratches but the silvering (backing) has no flaws. I work for a glazing contractor and would rate these 8 out of 10. The rubber is drawn up a bit on the bottom of one but is pliable and will silicone back in place easily.
The camera makes them look much worse than they are. Like I said, they are pretty nice. $60 shipped CONUS

Re: WTB Camper mirrors
the mirrors your truck needs (and you are getting) are the RV/camper mirrors. tripod mirrors have short arms and the head doesn't swing around to extend the mirror out.
i saved a pair of those off my dad's 84 burb, but decided to go with tripods on my 72 burb c20 for a more elegant look (but your truck already has the holes so you chose the correct route). both the tripods and rv mirrors have the same size head at 7x10. i will have to weld up/paint the holes left by the sport mirrors AND drill new holes. so you got me beat! |
