Wheel question.

I have a question on some wheels im looking at. Im looking at the Eagle Alloy 225's. Im wanting to go with 20x8.5 in front and 20x10 in the rear. The fronts only come in 4 1/2 and 5in backspacing. These will be going on my '71 c10. Its static dropped 5.5fr and 7in rear. I have the rear figured out. My question is on the front. I was thinking the 5 in backspace would fit better? I dont "plan" on bagging it lol. I was assuming the 4.5 would stick out further than the 5in.

Thanks,
Bamm

Re: Wheel question.

My front wheels are 20x8.5 with 4.25" backspacing. With my bags dumped and ECE drop spindles, the tires would rub on the inner fenders. I switched to the CPP modular drop spindles which move the tires in a little (3/4" if I remember right) and I "could" drive it this way (sitting on the internal bumpstops in the bags makes for a rough ride)

I think I'd go with the 5" BS

Re: Wheel question.

Thanks for the fast response. Thats kinda what i was thinking. I was originally looking at the Coy C-5's. I was gonna go with 5.25 bs on the front with those.
