Side Window Question

Looking at what needs to be done to my '67. All the saide window rubber, felt, etc needs replacement. It opening up the door and looking inside I found surface rust on the regulator mechanism and rust on the channel the window sits in. I saw two regulators on e-bay, but the channel the window sits in was not in the picture. Is that part of the regulator assembly or is it attached to the glass? I think mine needs replacement (it is starting to exfoliate and flake off) but don't know what part to look for.

Anyone done this?

Thanks.

The channel is affixed to the glass, it is not part of the regulator. The regulator has plastic rollers that set in the channel's track.

You may want to locate some replacement windows complete with channel. Not sure if you can buy the channel separate and have a glass place instll it for you.

FYI, the 72 regulators and door latches are different than 67-71. The rods on them protrude further out to compensate for the 72's moulded plastic inner door panel.

Windows Channel

Thanks for the info. Might be able to clean these up and hit 'em with POR or some other rust stopper.
