Re: Fuel regulator mounting
It's a phenolic spacer. It's supposed to keep the fuel cool.

Re: Fuel regulator mounting
I do like this setup.
(Obviously, I'd only need a single line to carb)

Re: Fuel regulator mounting
A couple of thnings,, first those pictures of the regulator mounted on the firewall,, TABOOO, Bad, No No NO!!!
NHRA tech says specifically the the regulator and all connections must be mounted 6" forward of the bellhousing / flywheel. No if, ans, or butts Also an accumilitive MAXIMUM of 12" of rubber line in the entire fuel system, from tank to carb. If your never going to the track, this means nothing. HOWEVER... rules are made because someone was hurt or killed. Good enough reason for me to not mount the regulator on the firewall. And just a quick mention about the spacer,,, A 2" spacer like that is 'properly' used to raise the effective rpm range of the motor. (likewise hurting LOWER RPM torque)

Re: Fuel regulator mounting
Here are the pics of one I did not long ago. I had to make the fitting between the carb and regulator. I made up a short piece of 3/8" line with a double flare on one end and silver soldered it to a drilled out reducer bushing that fit the outlet on the regulator. This was so I could position the regulator where I wanted it while still being able to make a tight connection at the carb. I could not find a fitting like that to buy, so I made it.

Re: Fuel regulator mounting
^ Thanks
I didn't think of coming straight off the carb with the regulator/gauge. I'll be plumbing mine in the coming weeks. I'll post pictures when done.

Re: Fuel regulator mounting
That should work as long as there is room for it. The one in the pic I posted, there was not room to run the fuel line any other way, due to the design of the intake manifold (440 Mopar).

Re: Fuel regulator mounting

I typically mount my fuel pressure regulators with rubber isolators, or leave them supported by the fuel lines (this is how my regulator is mounted in my Super Gas car). Here is a photo of my regulators mounted in my truck...both are mounted with rubber isolators...

Re: Fuel regulator mounting
Bump this is a great thread.
I have an edelbrock carb rpm intake. I need to put a regulator and maybe a guage in my system. I dont wanna spend $40 on a pre assembled (but nice) edelbrock line. Looking for brake line clean on an edelborck with a regulator LETS SEE EM

I cheated and bought the edel. reg kit that is a 1/4" thick plate that mounts between the carb/intake and the reg mounts to it..
