engine problems update

thanks again to those of you who helped out.

plugs were bad and timing was off 20 deg, again. the dist hold down is weak and letting the dist move around a bit.

so now here's where I'm at, #3 cyl is firing but missing a bit so tomorrow we're going to do a leakdown test on it. also the rockers we just put on REALLY noisy so we're thinking that the rockers might be part of the problem, hitting on the way down or just not cutting the mustard. we might try putting on a set of BB rockers and see if there's any change.

valve to piston clearance is fine.

either way the truck is soooooo much happier and the strange sound is almost gone.

Good to hear you're making progress!! It's frustrating to have a combination of problems...one at a time would be nice! Did you apologize to your truck yet, for calling it a POS??!! LOL!!
