58 disc brakes/power steering
Rear brakes/drums and new e brake cables installed. Next up. front disc brake conversion and power steering conversion started. Holes drilled and bracket for power steering box welded on. Right side finished left side need to remove old studs, bearings and install new rotor, studs and bearings. then finish frame cleaning and paint. Next is remount shock mount. Then on to the engine/ trans.

Nice job keep the pics comming , I can't seem to commit to the camaro clip on the 58 seems like this is the way to go for the $

Finished driver side install....temporarily installed shock and mount until steering shaft is in place to check for clearances

What steering box are you using and pitman arm? Where did you pick the set up from? My neighbor recently bought a 57 with similar setup but it looks terrible it was home built and he wants to change it

oh, didn't realize the shock ran so close to the steering shaft~ Good pictures, really helps me ~ I'll be doing the PS upgrade in a few weeks, or months whichever comes first! ; )

The steering kit is from Classic parts http://www.classicparts.com/1947-59-...ctinfo/76-977/ I ordered tier kit and the pitman arm
The steering box is for a 1970 2 wd chevy pickup |

Thanks, so where do I find the steering gear? salvage yard or a reconditioned one. That seemed like a pretty good price on the kit! ; )
