Re: abother newb question - replacing front drum on 63 c10

The original brake drums were riveted to the hub with 3 rivets. You will need to locate those, and grind the heads off and drive the remainder out the back side with a big hammer and a punch. Then you can install your new drum onto the hub. There is no need to install new tivets to hold the drum to the hub. I would recomend replacing all 6 of the wheel studs while you are at it. Better to be safe than sorry
