relocate gas tank help

i want to do a monster audio system in my 65 C10. in order to do that i need to remove the stock gas tank and find something that works under the bed. i want the same capacity or more if possible and i want to install the filler behind the driver side tail light. is there a tank kit that you guys would recommend for me. thanks for your help.

Re: relocate gas tank help

A blazer tank would work too I think. That has the filler coming out the side so you could route it out the tail light.

The advantage to the camaro tank....it's a pretty slick install in the sense that you're not having to cut the frame (just drill some holes). The only problem is the sender is a 0-90 ohm sender and won't work with the stock gas gauge without modification. It's an easy mod, just adding a resistor to wire going to the gauge, but I still haven't done it yet.

There are also aftermarket aluminum fuel tanks available from a couple of our board vendors. You can find them in the 'Vendor Marketplace' here on the forum.
