We have a winner. You are right but I have never seen one on a 1/2 ton.

Hard to tell from the pics - does it mount on the top rail of the bed panel at the back of the cab?

Exclamation Re: Headache rack for 67-72.

since it would cost so much to ship--i'm NOT trying to screw up his sale-- any muffler shop can bend up the the end pieces and a metal shop can fab the expanded metal portion and weld it together if you don't have access to a welder. looks like a simple thing to build--but--i work in a muffler shop and have a neighbor that works in a metal/fabrication shop.

Re: Headache rack for 67-72.

In West Texas they are called sunfighters sometime---to keep the sun out of the cab. My brother's 72 had one. He was a cotton farmer. They also were handy to tie to. If I did it right there should be a picture of it.

My '72 has one, too. Each side is bolted through the stake pocket hole and through one hole drilled in the top of the bedside.

That second and third picture give me a headache. They are simular, but a headache rack is for protection from cargo and a sun fighter is a sun shade, yet provides pretty good protection.Flatbed straight trucks and semi-run them as well as many semis.Logging and pipe haulers, too. They prevent serious headaches...kinda an understatement,as truckers tend to make.
