I personally would not rely on internet to give you a good example of what the mufflers sound like. Some times they are not accurately portrayed. I would listen to the various car that are around you and when you find one that sounds good to you, ask them what kind of exaust they have.

chevyguy, sounds like you got the turbos, the welded mufflers are $38 a piece. I had the turbos and your right loud at idle but nothing when you get on it.
In my opinion, if you want to hear the exhaust while your driving exit before the rear wheels. I have mine exit behind the rear wheels, let my wife drive my truck(once) so I can hear what everybody else hears.

1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone.
1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed.

1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

I have a Y-pipe with a single flowmaster 40 series with 2.5 inlet/outlet. That is one loud muffler. But I've read some info about flowmasters that make them not so good.

No I didn't have to....the burb came with duals all the way back to a single muffler and then dual outs to one tail pipe. I had two Dynomax's installed where the single was with new tailpipes. The 8.1 comes with true dual exhuast from the fact with twin cats.
