Found good 67 bumper, will it bolt onto 71 truck? Are they same?

Thanks,

rears all the same. Front 67-69 don't have turn signal holes. Gmc has cutouts on top of front bumper for turn signals on all 67-72.
fronts will all bolt up, plenty of trucks out there with the wrong bumper.

Also, I presume a 67 GMC truck auto-tilt column will bolt into 71 chevy, (did they have tilt in 67???)

The '67 will will bolt on, but is not correct. Does not have the holes in the bumper for the marker/turn signal lights, and GMC bumper will have indention's for the GMC marker/turn signal light along the top of the bumper.

Also, the outer bumper brackets are do not interchange. To run a 67-70 bumper, you need 67-70 brackets, 71-72 Chevys are different.

Re: ARE 67 and 71 BUMPERS SAME?

67 fenders are different, so they won't work.
The booster master cylinder combo is for drum/drum brakes. 71 is disk drum, so again it wont work.
The power steering should be ram assist and the 71 is integral gear, again no go. WES

Re: ARE 67 and 71 BUMPERS SAME?

How cheap is the tilt column? It was swapped and could be a van tilt. But.even those go for good money these days. Same with the fenders. You should buy those and re-sell if the price is right (and they are in good condition...mostly not rusty). The '67 GMC bumper,if it's original, will be the same as a 67-70 Chevy bumper. You can mount the turn signals (71/72( behind the grille. The ones on my '71 tow truck w/push bumper are in the upper corners and I had a plow truck I mounted the signals in the lower corners due to a fabricated bumper.
