1992 GMC sierra fuel pump

I literally just repainted my truck and got the bed back on it this past week. Sure enough the fuel pump went out yet again. This will be the 4th pump in 7 years.
Question is: does anyone make a quality fuel pump that will last?
The first time I replaced it I got a dealer pump which lasted 2 months out of warrenty.
thanks, Mark

Re: 1992 GMC sierra fuel pump

I buy Delco or Delphi pumps and get real good life out of them. It's too much work to have to be replacing them very often.
Is the fuel blend in your area possibly the cause of the frequent pump failures? Meaning alcohol content. Just wondering.

Be careful, some dealers are selling aftermarket parts, if you do not ask for OEM.

I agree with everything he said.

I've had good luck with the Delphi pumps in my trucks.
