Floor hump question

I have a 1965 C10 that I need to replace the cab due to rust. I have a really nice cab off a donor 64 but it was a tall hump (4 speed ) truck. I want to cut out the low hump in my rusty cab and just trim it to size, drill the holes and bolt it in. Has any one done this before? any pointers would be appreciated.

Re: Floor hump question

the small hump umbolts as well as the large hump, plenty of rusty bolt spray and let it sit awhile first. should bolt right up.

Re: Floor hump question

From what I’ve read high humps all bolt in while low humps can be either removable or part of the floor. There use to be an excellent thread showing all 3 types on this site. I found the link but the thread has been deleted.

The front section on the firewall is not the same between the high and low hump pans. If you want to swap to the low hump you will also need to replace the section in front of the removable pan. Post #4 on the following thread suggests cutting the low hump area oversize and bolting it in.

And here’s another thread discussing the same topic, in reverse:
