Connector plug in engine bay

Hi guys, could any of you please point out what this plug is/was for ? The truck is an 85 LWB, with cruise and OD. The previous owner has replaced the 305 with a 350. And also has unhooked the charcoal canister and the cruise controls. Sorry if the pics are not re-sized properly. Thanks in advance.

That's the plug for the ESC module Electronic Spark Control. It should go to the distributor. If it been changed and a new/ older model distributor has been installed that would explain it not being hooked up

Thanks guys, you all have made it that much easier. I bought the Haynes & Chilton's manuals since I posted the pics. With the little reading that I have done so far, looks there is quite a bit of tampering in the engine compartment. But hey that's the fun. Thanks again.
