How do you get the ashtray out of our trucks? I know its probably something simple,right? Thanks in advance !!!

If you pull it out about 1/2-3/4 of the way, there should be a "Tounge" that you can Depress as you pull it out the rest of the way.
Press down on it as you pull out. It may be old/rusted, so giggle it or spray a shot of WD-40 on it and try. Let us know how you make out. Roger "RATIKLE"

I had been pushing down on the piece in the middle and pulling but always found good resistance and I've broken enough stuff over the years by pulling too hard. After I received your posts I went out to the truck and gave it a good tug and out it came. My ashtray is chromed and after I got it out I looked close at it and there is a tiny burr of chrome on the slide which I guess was causing the resistance. Now upward and onward with the wrinkle paint and airbrush.

My ashtray's problem is that it does not want to stay in if I pull it out. So just gotta be gentle instead of man handling it. So I probably did not help any. Sorry
