My 69 C10
I have been a member of this site for quite a while and I have wanted to post some pictures of my 69. The problem has always been that the pictures I have are spread between 3 different computers and they don't usually end up on the computer at home. I have had my truck for about 5 years. I bought it from a friend minus engine and transmission. I decided when I brought it home that I would tackle the body work first, figuring that If I didn't I never would. Fast forward to now and the driver side rocker is in and the floor and lower door posts are done. The passenger side rocker is off and that is about it. The new plan is to get the truck yard moving to help stay motivated. So I did a quick down a dirty rebuild on a 267 I had hanging around and backed it up with a 200r4. This is how she sits today.

Re: My 69 C10
Glad to hear that you are working on it.
We finally started working on my '67 yesterday, I guess I have had it about 3 years now. I had been using it here on the farm, but we decided to take it out of action for a while and do a rebuild on it before I get too darn old too, lol.

Re: My 69 C10
re. getting old.. That's my problem now. I'm in a race against time and too much to do.
Another problem is the incessant heat. We've had a couple of months with over 100 degree weather and trying to work on vehicles out in the open is impossible. I accidently left my wrenches out in the sun a few days ago while I went to lunch. I came back and reached to get my 1/2 inch ratchet and darn near blistered my hand. Shulda known better. btw: sean1969c10, that's a big city you're from. I drove up to visit my son in Oak Hill near DC a few weeks ago. Sure is some beautiful countryside up there. Forgot to mention: I noticed you don't have a screen on the cowl opening. I have a plastic gutter screen on mine to keep oak leaves out but in your case with all the pine needles you probably need window screening. |

Re: My 69 C10
Yes it is beautiful here, when it's not 95+ degrees and 98% humidity. I have burned myself on tools left out in the sun too. It does feel good to see an engine in the truck again. I will get more pics up soon.
