Enigine wiring harness's ????

ok guys i finally got the engine in the 66 and got some ?'s about the wiring harness's in the engine compartment..p.o cut all the wires at the firewall plugs when he removed engine can you tell me what wires are what?? i did a search and didnt see anything that helped.

drivers side firewall wiring harness:
#1 black wire?
#2 red wire?
#3 yellow wire?
#4 green wire?
i know the plug on top does hood turn signals.

engine wiring harness in middle of firewall:
#5 green wire and red wire in same plug port?
#6 wire under the green and red wires?
#7 wire all the way to the right of plug?

and should there be any other wires that are missing from the plugs??thanks for any info!

Internet is to slow here to send you a wiring diagram. If you go to the search box at the top of the page enter engine wiring diagram and click on the 67-72chevytrucks.com then Google all the previous threads with those words will show up. Pick and choose!

Re: Enigine wiring harness's ????

Well, it depends on what you are running, I guess. Do you have an internally regulated alternator? HEI or points distributor? I printed out the diagram and reworked my engine harness, so I can help if I know where you WANT them to go.

Let me know what you got and I will try and help.
