I have a 72 GMC and I want to put a 67 hood on it. Can I just get a 67 grill
or are there other parts I will need to change ? Thanks Jim |

Re: GMC hood change
You do not need a complete 67-68 GMC grill, just a 67-68 GMC upper grill bar, (its rivited on) a 67-68 GMC hood latch and a 67-68 hood

Re: GMC hood change
If I bought a new aftermarker grill would the upper grill bar be on it?
I will need a new grill anyway. I am in thr process of restoring the truck so now would be a good time to find the parts I need. One more thing my truck has GMC grill ,GMC on the hood,GMC on the fenders and GMC on the tailgate but, it has coil springs on the rear end. How can you tell if it is a chevy or GMC ? It does not matter to me which brand it is I would just like to know. Thanks Jim |

Re: GMC hood change
Either could be had either coil or leaf. Here in Canada typically all were coil and some were ordered leaf. As I understand it in the US most GMC's were leaf and most Chev's were coil but again either could be had either way.
